The most extraordinary images made at Zensuality have not been the most technically refined. They have been the ones made in chaos, in paint that went everywhere, in clay that dried and cracked at exactly the wrong moment, in the particular quality of a golden hour light on a body that was covered in pigment and laughing.
Conventional photography works against entropy. You control the light, the background, the pose, the moment. You eliminate variables. You manage the frame. This produces reliable results and, often, images that feel slightly managed, where the control that created them is visible in the images themselves.
Creative body sessions work with entropy. Paint is inherently unpredictable. Clay moves in directions you did not plan. Pigment splattered from above arrives where physics sends it, not where the composition demanded. The body’s response to these materials, the flinch, the laughter, the surprising stillness that sometimes descends, cannot be directed. It can only be caught. And the images that result carry a quality of genuine aliveness that controlled photography cannot produce.
Jinx’s territory.
These sessions are where Jinx is most fully herself. While Jax shoots, Jinx runs the creative side, the application of the clay, the angle and height of the pour, the way the paint is loaded and thrown. She has genuine artistic instinct for this work and genuine enthusiasm for the mess of it. She has no problem getting covered in it herself, which matters: the presence of someone who is in the chaos alongside you rather than standing outside it managing it changes the dynamic of the session entirely. It becomes collaborative. It becomes, often, genuinely fun.
The sessions available include: body painting, deliberate application of pigment in designs chosen together before the session begins; paint splattering and pouring, chaotic, energetic, visceral, best done outdoors or in a space with adequate room; clay and earth, the body covered partially or fully in clay or kaolin, then photographed as it moves, dries and falls; and body-to-body creative sessions, where a second woman joins the session, the interaction between two people and a shared material producing images that have their own completely distinct dimension.

Where these sessions happen.
The studio handles paint splattering with appropriate protection in place. Clay and earth work is outstanding outdoors, riverbank clay, forest floor, natural water nearby. Body painting can happen anywhere. The luxury motorhome makes extended outdoor creative sessions possible: arriving at a location in the evening, shooting at sunset, sleeping overnight, shooting again at sunrise. These weekends are among the most distinctive things Zensuality offers.
Creative sessions can be standalone or added to any existing session type. A boudoir shoot can move into body painting. A fine art nude can incorporate clay. The combination is discussed at consultation and designed around your specific brief.
